So I'm ready to do a gear oil change along with an oil and filter change, but the thing is I don't know where the plugs are exactly.

I tried making sense out of the BGB but I can't visualize it. Can I pour in the gear oil through the reverse light switch hole? (after removing the switch)

EDIT: also, how much gear oil should I use? I've seen 2.5qts and 3.5qts in different places... so I'm kinda confused. Using Synchromesh by Pennzoil

yes its driver side, and there are two plugs that sorta blend in, but will stand out if you look hard enough. as stated before, drain out of the bottom plug fully, then fill the top plug on level surface until it overflows. it will take a LONG TIME but IIRC its almost 3 quarts.

my car does not shift well... Ive been using 75-90 IIRC but I may have to try this MT-90 From redline....

You want power but have no money. That's a problem.

Cheap. Reliable. Fast. Pick two.

Should I get vinyl tubing or can i squeeze the grease in using the spout that comes with it?

There is a hand pump with a clear tube attached which will screw onto the top of the bottle. Its available at the local autoparts store for a couple bucks. Makes fillin trannys super easy
