I recently bought an OEM intake system for my WRC Gt-four to replace my ****ty aftermarket one and there seems to be a few things that don't match.
-There used to be a hole in my previous hose for the sensor, now there's not. (I have now plugged the sensor onto the airbox because the hole was there instead.) -There's a plug for a hose on the top part of the airbox, but I have nothing to connect it to. -The holes for the bolts on the car and in the airbox are not the same size. -There are tabs on the airbox but I can't figure out on what they hook up to, they're pretty much hanging out with no purpose.. Anybody knows why? Maybe WRC models have their own specific intake which is similar to the standard version but not identical? This post has been edited by dudeofchaos: Sep 10, 2012 - 9:00 PM |

-Yes, the sensor plugged into the airbox cover next to the IAC hose is the temp sensor. The clip next to it is just one of the clips that attaches the top cover to the bottom of the airbox
-those 'two' things you circled are actually just the factory blow off valve. OEM's recirculate their BOVs, which is why our is attached to the airbox I cant remember off the top of my head how the box was bolted down near the strut tower, but I dont see any reason why it wouldn't just be the frame. That's how st204's bolt their boxes This post has been edited by enderswift: Sep 11, 2012 - 11:44 AM -------------------- ![]() |
