More info and numbers! 5s-fe comparisons would be great.
Shorter rods are supposed to lower Comp. Ratio, given the stroke is the same and pistons are the same, right? Something tells me the dimensions on the 2jz rods are going to be incredibly similar to 3sgte rods... Ive always seen the 2jz as a 3sgte with 50% more of everything ( 50% more rods, pistons, displacement, power and weight) This post has been edited by Syaoran: Sep 12, 2012 - 2:16 PM -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold

Also, the longer the rod the more mechanical advantage it has to turn the crankshaft, and a longer piston reduces cylinder bore wear. Theres a tradeoff in it somewhere. |
