So when I bought my celica the motor on the power antenna didn't work and they had a wire clothes hanger on something jammed into it to fix the broken mast. I decided to just relocate the antenna all together so far I have about $80 involved in this upgrade but I messed up one of the adapters so I have to buy a new one. ( disclaimer: I don't know if this will work on a car without a sun roof)

Brief update for you guys ....
after finishing the install I've noticed there is a little bit of play/give in the antenna. I can push down on it an it will move up and down slightly. It's still there though have had the car to over 100 mph now and it hasn't budged. Well worth the time and money. I can't compare to stock reception because of the condition when I bought it but its good now -------------------- 97 Celica GT liftback DD/ project
