I had a 87 ST, and that was a fast, zippy car. I had to sell it and now i bouht an 95 ST. I assumed it would be faster or at least the same speed. However it is slow, a 87 is much faster in accelaration. Do I have a probelm with the engine? Or is this just the speed of the 6th gen STs??

well i know the st is supposed to be slow, but lets remember the car isn't anything without a good driver.....like for instance with my practically stock at the time 96' ST. with nothing but a cold air and 17" rims(yea rims do nothing i know that) and really nice plugs....i abliterated a 7th gen. gt/gt-s (still not sure which one it was, but none the less he had a ton more mods on it then mine did) BUT the moral is that i CAN shift very well during a race....that freakin idiot couldn't shift to save his life so i won....so you can't compare car to car really...drivers matter too
