Need some advice. I have a 95 gt 5sfe 5 speed celica. It will start an d drive down the road a few miles then it straight up dies. After it dies it wont fire up again till it sits for a short amount of time (about an hour). I pulled the codes and got a code 12, 13, and 14. Tested the primary resistance on the coil and found it was too high. Replaced coil, cap, rotor, wires, and spark plugs and I'm still having the same problem. Any advice?

My experience was just with a code 12, not the other two. In my case, the copper wiring inside the distributor had unraveled itself and took out the coil also. You probably would have noticed this when replacing your coil, however. |
