i know this topic has been done over and over but i havent been able to find any pictures or links to information that will basically give me a walk thru on how to repin my harness from a 96 7afe to 91(im pretty sure but have had mixed answers from toyota) st185 3sgte. heres wat im looking for..(need information from both cars) -wire colors -what they are used for as far as are they power or ground or etc -any other information -should i extend or just cut a hole in a good location(keeping in mind it snows horribly bad where i live) also im assuming im repinning the 3sgte harness to match up with the celica? please correct me if im wrong. links pictures etc all welcome but what im really iso is a how to walk through |

QUOTE links pictures etc all welcome but what im really iso is a how to walk through As one of the few handful of people that has actually done a st185 to Celica harness conversion, I can tell you that you will not find any kind of how to. Why? Because the wiring conversion is far more complicated than just repinning a few plugs like is done on an st205 swap. If you take a look at your 3sgte harness, you will see that its vastly different from the Celica harness and requires major rewiring. You basically have two options: 1. Buy the wiring books for both the st185 and the celica from Toyota, and start doing your homework on how the two harnesses differ. 2. Contact DrTweak on here and have him convert your harness. He charges about $400. That may sound steep, but once you have actually done this type of conversion you will realize its a pretty fair price. 3. Since Megasquirt is now an option for us, you could ditch both harnesses and wire up your car with that. However thats far from a simple thing and will require a lot of research on your part. Good luck. ty lagos for answering that for me. as it seems that im pretty screwed as far as wiring for now. i think i might as well start saving up for MSpnp is there any 1 on here who is using or plans to use the mspnp? or since my motor is 100% stock atm and i wont be putting to much into it for a while would it be a better opinion to have DrTweak work is magnificent mojo on those wires?
