Sorry to say it, but selling my baby. She has been my project car for 6 years now. She's been sitting sadly in my garage now for about a year. Before, she was my daily driver. Runs strong and smooth. Anyone that has driven a swapped Celica will vouch for the amount of power this car puts down.
She is not perfect and will require the right owner (see below). I'd like to see her go to a good home.
She would be a great winter project to get her back into her prime.
The good:
- Clean title. Straight body. No accidents.
- Absolutely no rust anywhere on the body - no leaks
- Body has 151k miles. Engine has ~75k miles on it
- 5-speed
- Moon roof
- Power windows / moon roof (all working)
- Clean black interior, black cloth seats - no rips or scratches in upholstery
- Cold A/C
- Still has power steering and cruise control after swap
Performance
- 2nd Gen. ST185 Carlos Saintz 3SGTE (bought with ~48k miles on it)
- Carlos Saintz W2A Intercooler
- Ford Lightning heat exchanger
- KO Racing 2.5in Downpipe
- OEM MR2 BPV
- Straight through Apexi' Intake (MR2 Kit)
- 2.5in Exhaust
- Apex'i Turbo Muffler
- 3in resonator
- JDM CT26 with ceramic coated impellers
- Relocated battery to trunk
- Walbro Fuel pump
- Twosrus.com MBC - Set to 14psi
- Dropzone Coilovers (recommend replacing)
Exterior
- Rear JDM SSIII Splitters
- VIS C-One CF Hood
- Removed Spoiler
Interior
- Lotek 3-pod pillar
- Ractive Boost gauge - two empty pods
- Kenwood KDC-MP925 stereo
- Hyperwhite gauge cluster
Needs attention:
- Shift linkage is sloppy. Needs to be adjusted.
- Driver's side fender is dented. 3 years ago: it was parked on the street for a week while I moved to a different city. When I came to retrieve it, it had the dents.
- Engine has rust on the header / turbo / downpipe. Carbon fiber hood vent + Oregon rain = Rust.
- Needs brake change.
- Has two wiring harnesses in the engine bay. When I was doing my initial swap my shop time was running out, so I had to bridge necessary connections to get it running quickly. Has worked flawlessly for over 6 years.
- Due to the two harnesses, there is a very slow drain on the battery. No concern as a daily driver, but the battery needs to be disconnected if it is stored for months on end.
- Has no engine undercover plastics.
- It is a 93 engine in a 97. It won't pass any smog tests. OBDII is disconnected.
- Front bumper is chipping off paint.
- Left fog light snapped off after hitting road debris off a truck on the freeway. Will need to be remounted.
- Front windshield has a crack.
Here's the bonus: I have a TON of extra parts. Enough to build a whole separate motor minus the short block.
- Complete 3S-GTE head: Cams, cam gears, rotor, etc.
- MINE'S JDM ECU!
- In tact engine wiring harness
- AFM
- New in box 3S-GTE ARP head studs
- New in box timing belt
- ct26 turbo still connected to header
- Stock downpipe/cat
- Intake manifold with T-VIS
- Throttle body
- ST185 air to air intercooler (Some bent fins)
- Oil pan
- 2 x alternators
- 2 x A/C compressor
- A/C condensor
- Radiator with fans
- Flywheel (needs resurfacing)
- Power steering pump
- New in box water pump
- Used water pump
- Exhaust resonator
- All engine mounts/brackets/stabilizer bars
- Coolant tree, thermostat housing, and all other coolant lines.
- VIS Side Skirts (New/Unmounted. Like all aftermarket body pieces, will require fitting from a professional. Has some scuffs from travel)
- 3 x 16in. Celica GTS wheels (2 are on the rear of the car, one off with a flat)
- 4 x 15in. Celica GT alloy wheels (2 are on the front of the car, two are off with flats)
- ALL stock parts that have ever been replaced on the car: Including springs, lights, interior pieces, etc.
Pictures of her in her prime:
Asking $3000 for everything. I would like to keep everything together as a whole package, but if the interest isn't there I will entertain splitting things up.
Thanks for looking!
