Alright, so my passenger side rear hub seems to be 'bent' or at least it's not centered correctly. And I was looking to replace them with my friends assistance but have an itch to address.
In the discussion of this thread HERE. It was said that the xv10 Camry's rear hub/bearing assembly can bolt onto the Celica's rear; which would mean the rotors would have to be re-drilled to 5x114 to mate with the new hub. Correct? On eBay: 94-99 Celica Rear Hub/Bearing Assembly- $230 91-96 Camry Rear Hub/Bearing Assembly- $66 I figured since the price difference is relatively large. Than I should go the conversion route ![]() Then I wondered if I can buy rotors for a xv10 Camry, would they fit the stock brake caliper? Upon searching I found this info (unconfirmed): --------------------------------- 94-99 Celica -------- 91-96 Camry ----- Outside Diameter:-------------- 269mm ----------------- 269mm --------- -------------Height:------------ 64.6mm ---------------- 64.9mm -------- ---------Nom Thick:------------ 8.9mm ----------------- 10mm ---------- ----------Min Thick:------------- 8mm --------------------- 9mm ----------- -------Bolt Pattern:------------ 5x100 ------------------- 5x114 ---------- So with such a small difference in Thickness, while still having the same overall Diameter, Would it be possible to utilize the Camry's rear rotor as well? Can anyone weigh in here?? I really need to fix my rear, because sounding like a wooden rollercoaster is getting old ![]() This post has been edited by smkr3w: Aug 24, 2012 - 6:40 PM -------------------- ![]() 6gcHeroes:808hectortimmybatmandiegotigamak |

Sorry but the argument syaoran makes is worthless...youd go with celica rotors cause the caliper would have to bite?
The rotor thickness difference is basically given up in pad wear... Thats not the issue The rotor hat spacing and offset are what make the rotor usable or unusable.. |

The rotor hat spacing and offset are what make the rotor usable or unusable.. This was my biggest concern, and the reason why I only bought one rotor to test. anyway....... SUCCESS! Stock CELICA rear hub/bearing assy. top Replacement CAMRY rear hub/bearing assy. bottom ![]() ..And CAMRY rear ROTOR, fits like a glove! ![]() So bottom line- A BOLT ON REAR 5x114 CAMRY CONVERSION IS POSSIBLE ![]() ![]() So why do this conversion? -Wheel Options! -Cheaper than Celica Replacement Parts -------------------- ![]() 6gcHeroes:808hectortimmybatmandiegotigamak |
