 help on planning the 4age swap |

i have an at200 96 celica. it has a 7afe stock engine and im planning on swapping a black top 4age engine on it.. here in the U.S. if your car is in the year 1996 and up are required to get emission test. without that car wouldnt be street legal. my question is that anybody here that has a 96 celica at200 with a black top 4age that lives in the U.S and requires that your car need emission testing? if so how do you guys pass the testing with no check engine light on ? thanks in advance hopefully you guys can help me

I think he meant the 4A-GZE from the supercharged MR2, since you can get every part for it from any local parts house. Really that'd be the best engine to swap to if staying in the A series family. You actually have torque, can find parts, and supposedly it's easy to get them into the 200hp range.
