i have an at200 96 celica. it has a 7afe stock engine and im planning on swapping a black top 4age engine on it.. here in the U.S. if your car is in the year 1996 and up are required to get emission test. without that car wouldnt be street legal. my question is that anybody here that has a 96 celica at200 with a black top 4age that lives in the U.S and requires that your car need emission testing? if so how do you guys pass the testing with no check engine light on ? thanks in advance hopefully you guys can help me

I looked into doing the 1MZ swap. To me it just isn't even worth it. For the cost of the swap and what I could sell the Celica for, I could get a much faster car with an easier to build platform. Oh, and there's no work involved. Not to take away from people that do swaps, but it's not always the best route. I don't want to go through the whole car selling/buying process again, but for me it's the logical decision.
