I have the 8 speaker sound system in my 95 gt convert and my front bottom speakers do not work but the other 6 do. Anybody have any experience with this system or problem?

^The preamp inside your new HU is most likely more powerful than the stock one, but it is not powerful enough nor is it set up to handle the extra speakers. Thus the reason JBL designed for those lower speakers to be powered by a separate amp.

If you don't want to use the factory amps, then your best option is to just get a decent low power aftermarket amp to power those lower door speakers. Like the JBL GT5-A402 2-channel amp.

Actually, i wanted to avoid the use of any amp all together. Didnt want to go through the hassle of running wires through out the car.

Yes, you can splice into the 8" speakers in the kick panels. I'll get you a picture this afternoon.

Ill be looking out for this.
