So I noticed my motor was sitting crooked. Its currently leaning downward on the passenger side. I found the rear mount (tranny) was busted (rubber cracked from one side to the other) so I went to the dealer and got a new one. It was a PITA to get in but I made it happen. After getting everything bolted back up I lowered my jack that was supporting the engine and to my surprise the engine was till crooked.
So the next day I unbolted the 3 bolts on the passenger side mount and after the last one came out the whole mount was loose. I found it was not even bolted to the engine. After getting it all the way out I found 2 of the 3 bolts that mount on the block are broken, inside the block. The third i have no idea where it went... Has this happened to anyone before? If so how did you get them out? Access is very limited. I don't see it being possible without removing the motor. What do you guys think? -------------------- ![]() |

the bolts for the bracket that the passenger side motor mount bolts to...are those what you are talking about? Exactly what i'm talking about. ^^^ thats what it sounds like, if that is the case, i dont really see an alternative but pulling the engine to have enough room in there to get them out. it also depends on where they are broken for how to get them out. take the engine mount off, and if you have threads sticking out, vice grips should get them out. if non, then you need to drill and use an easy-out to back them out. No threads sticking out. They are pretty much flush with the block. Easy-out is what I was thinking, just a matter of getting to them. Sounds like she's got to come out for this to happen. -------------------- ![]() |
