Hello,
I ordered 2 rear KYB strut mounts from amazon, both model number SM5087. However, look different from each other, not drastically but it is noticeable. Biggest difference is on mount has ring around the metal cup on the top while the other does not. Has anyone ever dealt with this or does it sound like it could be an issue? Just trying to make sure so I don't run into issues during installation or while on the road. Thanks |

Hmm, may just be a brand difference.
I think it'll work just fine. Aslong as the center bolt lines up with the strut, and the 2 pieces that come down to stop it from spinning are lined up, it should be just fine. That is of course saying the 3 mount points are the same too =P Cut springs? This post has been edited by rave2n: Nov 16, 2012 - 3:53 PM |

I won't be cutting the springs since I also bought a set of eibach sportlines and F/R set of kyb struts and I will have to pay for installation so I wld hate for something to go wrong, I test fit them onto the strut and they both seem to fit fine, so I don't see them not fitting into the car i added some more pics of them on the assembly http://m49.photobucket.com/albumview/album...67.jpg.html?o=0 so you think they'll be ok? If so I can have it all installed tomorrow |
