Hard to describe the sound. Its not squealing belts. It's noticeable with windows up. Almost like a whine but gentle. And it goes away after it reaches higher speed. Any idea what it might be. I have a 1994 GT automatic with 167k.

NEED MORE INFO

-Where is the sound coming from? I'm assuming the engine bay as you mentioned it NOT being a squealing belt.
-Can you compare the sound to something (a video would be best if you could)
-Is the sound noticeable at idle?
-You say it goes away at higher speeds yet in your title is says after 15mph ... which is it?
-Title also says it goes away in 2nd, does it go away as soon as you put it in 2nd, every time?
-Any difference when it's hot or cold?
