So I installed a set of aluminum shifter bushings for the MR2. The fit perfectly onto my shifter base.

If you have the time, make sure to take out most of the plastics in the middle console. If you don't, get ready to get cuts like I did.

The shifter is rock solid now, I'm even afraid I might break the shift rod haha, but it's so nice. Feels more connected. I'm still missing the second shifter cable bushing, and I can already feel a difference in shift feel. A must have for a couple of bucks and half an hour of your time.

Here's a pic of the old ones. Couldn't snap a pic of the new ones installed cause they're barely visible once installed.

They're supposed to. If the shifter uses the same base mounting points as stock (which it should) then yes, they'll fit.

Thanks. Do you have plans on changing the shifter cable bushings as well?

Yes. I already put one of the two in.

I bought a set of brass bushings from ebay but the kit came with 2 bushings which are different in size. The smaller one is the correct bushing for both cables.

I believe the MR2 N/A kit from speedsource will fit, as I think they're the same size as the Celica.

I talked to the seller on eBay and he'll simply swap the larger one for a smaller one for me.
