so i bought a set of projectors but the housing needs to be rechromed. i already removed the glasses using the oven. i tried aresol can paint but i failed. i used the method of glossy black paint and chrome paint on top of it but didnt work. i read that for these parts you need to "vacuum metalize" which i have no idea what it is nor idea how much it costs and idk where to get it done. any help?

There is no spray-on or dipping method that will look as good as the original vacuum plating that was done to it.
I got mine professionally vacuum plated and it cost me about $300 for both low beam projector surrounds but only because I had to ship them out since there's only one place in Canada that does it. It came out just as good and seemed to be more durable than the original. QUOTE

wow that looks amazing great! So far, I have yet to see someone do a black chrome vacuum plating job. I think it would absolutely sick! Most people go the spray-on route. if i do black i think my car would look like a panda. white with black eyes.. -------------------- |
