So the crossmember brace that goes from the front towards the back and has 2 of the motor mounts on it doesn't want to fit in place now that I put a manual it. It can be bolted in but its pushed up against the transmission sleeve (the thing that bolts onto the transmission on the bottom to keep grime from going into it)

The motor isn't sitting exactly how its supposed to but I was hoping to remedy this by putting in the crossmember. Only issue is now it leans up on the transmission sleeve. So is there a different crossmember between automatic and manual GTs or is the motor just in so much of a bind its making it seem like it wouldn't work properly?

the crossmembers are the same or at least i know both work either way. in fact when i converted, the only thing i had that was M/T mount was the driver side (tranny side), i had all A/T mounts for front, rear, and passenger for quite a while. It was only when the front mount went bad, that I changed both front and rear to M/T. In fact, my passenger is still A/T mount.

I could possibly agree with you that there could be a misalignment in some sense, at first thats what I thought would happen. but at the end, i believe there is some tolerance to it, and basically it all went in fine with just the passenger tranny M/T mount.

I hope that answers your question.
