I have no clue on how to replace my stock cd player with another head unit. Do you guys know any good website on how to install an aftermarket cd player or how to wire my electrical neon lights elsewhere besides using the cigarette lighter as a power source?

That isnt necessarily true. I "bypassed" my amp and it only took like 15 bucks for the replacement harness and an hour to wire my new stereo. Its better just to totally remove the stock amp from the picture. You will want to use the power from your new stereo over your stock amp anyways. You just unplug the two connectors the lead into the stock amp.... replace with the new harnesses you bought from the store and wire the whole thing up to your new after market stereo. If you have the premium sound package with the tweeters like I do then you might want to consider having someone do it for you. I personally didnt use the stock tweeters and am just running off of the 6.5" in the doors and it sounds great. All it needs is a little thump behind it and its good to go. My reccomendation is just removing the stock amp from the picture. Just my 3 or 4 cents here. |
