Looking for advice on getting to 500whp. Made 412whp 24lbs boost this year, my setup is capable to get to it. Correct me if Im wrong, I think due to me running a 1.8mm thick head gasket, and having to run higher boost, its limits my peakpower. I order 1.5mm, then they told me it was out of stock, I needed to finish my build, so I went with What they got. After tuning it, I send my run file to Koracing, he said, that my tune was not complete. It was set up for safe tune. My set up. 3rd gen3sgte. Forge bottom end, upgraded vave and springs, 264 BC cams
Ems. Hydra Nemise. Turbo. Precsion 50trim 63ar hot side, Injector. 1200cc. E85 fuel. Any advice from anyone who made it to 500whp would be nice. I went with this setup. I want a streetable car with good response and still have good top end power. Thanks everyone |

I'm not sure about the 3sgte, but I dont see you making that with the turbo. .63 ar is tiny. I had a .83ar and had about 45psi of back pressure at 15psi. Changed to 1.18 or something and fixed that issue. Mines a v8, but still doesnt matter how many cylinders your have it's still an airpump pushing air through a single turbo.
You wont need something as big as I do, but at 412fwhp I wouldnt be surprised if it's already close to choking out. Easy to check though if you have an o2 bung before the turbo. Back pressure shouldnt be more than double the boost you're running. This post has been edited by czwalga: Dec 18, 2012 - 10:06 AM -------------------- -93 Rx7, Turbo 6.1L v8, 725rwhp/760rwtq
