So... Bolt pattern adapters...

I'm sure a lot of you guys have used these due to the much larger selection of wheels in different bolt patterns. I found a great deal on some used mazda 16'' wheels, so I decided to give them a go. After reading a ton, I decided not to do the custom fab hub centric kind. I think I made a really big mistake. I got everything on and I'm getting a ton of wobble. At first I thought the adapters must not be on the hub exactly centered. I checked them though and it looks to me as though the wheels themselves aren't bolted onto the adapters exactly strait. I'll try to get pics up, but I plan to take it all off and try again tomorrow and have somebody watch to see if it looks strait. If all else fails, I'll get custom adapters made. If you have ANY advice it would be much appreciated. I would love to avoid buying custom hub centric adapters seeing as how they're pretty costly. Have any of you used non-hub centric adapters or spacers before? What are your tips on instillation? I thought about putting a jack under the wheel as I bolt it on to see if I could keep it from going on crooked, but that is the only idea I've had. I need to get this fixed asap because I use this car as a daily driver.

Thanks in advance for your help!
