 Battery Light?, Keeps coming on intermittently! |

So my battery light keeps coming on intermittently..
I took the car to Toyota yesterday and had an AVR performed. Alternator was kicking out 60A, and the battery seemed fine. The tech said there might be a slight draw somewhere from a loose wire (stereo.. alarm.. etc) So .. no problems. Drove around all day and night. Parked over night, went to start the car and the battery was completely DEAD! Being paranoid, I cut and taped all accessories from the battery (amp, fog lights etc etc) Called Roadside assistance, got boosted, and voila.. car starts and charges. He said the battery was COMPLETELY dead, so I drove around for a bit. NO MORE light.. Until I almost made it home. The light came on again. Now the battery is only 6 months old. The alternator isn't that old. Not sure which is the suspect between the two, but one of them is flaky.. The alternator obviously was chargin fine (as it charged the car just now) So think it's the battery? Any suggestions?! Thanks! Shaun |
