I spent some of my birthday Monday trying to cheer up my ex-girlfriend. Her friend was killed in a car accident. Her boy friend was racing some guy in New Orleans. Now his girl friend is dead and he probably will be charged w/ vehicle man-slaugter. He was doing over 100 when he lost control and hit another car. The seat belt broke Stephanie's neck and killed her instantly. She was suppose to start on her high school softball team this year as the lead pitcher. Being stupid and not responsible for her/his actions caused her to lose her life. Kids need to learn that cars arent play things that they are machines and can easily lead to death. If you want to race go to a track/strip and do it there. Dont endanger other peoples lives.
New Orleans Times-Picayune- A 16-year-old Slidell girl was killed late Sunday when the car in which she was riding was struck by another vehicle in eastern New Orleans, police said. Stephanie Subervielle died at Charity Hospital of head and internal injuries, said John Gagliano, chief investigator for the Orleans Parish coroner's office. The accident happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the 14000 block of Old Gentilly Road, police said. Subervielle was a passenger in a westbound 1996 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Brenden Mistrot, 17, police said. Mistrot apparently lost control of his car, police said, and it was hit by an eastbound 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo occupied by driver Dino Huy, 17, and a passenger. No information on Mistrot, Huy or Huy's passenger was available Monday. Police have not decided whether charges will be filed against either driver, police spokeswoman Jonette Williams said. Traffic fatality officer Vernell Brown is in charge of the investigation. |
