My plan is to get my A/C working pretty soon, and everything mechanical is on the engine. The compressor/belt is there, the condenser, the lines, etc. are all there.
Now I know that I'm going to need a refrigerant recharge once I hook up the lines and get it wired and such. Do do-it-yourself products like these work? I'd prefer not to take my car anywhere if I don't have to, as I don't trust anyone to work on my car besides me. ![]() And then here's my second question. Wiring will probably be a pain, but I've heard that there is only really one wire that switches the A/C on and off, and the rest of the wiring is for the idle-up and such, to increase the engine idle when the A/C is on. Do I really need this idle-up wiring setup? My idle is perfect right now, and I don't imagine that the A/C on at idle would cause the car to bog down to the point where it'll die or anything. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
