Help with Big Bear Reservation Options

Hey people,

Well the reason for this topic is plain and simple, I just want to know if any members know someone that owns or rents cabins up in Big Bear?

I am looking at spending 2-3 days over there, around mid November. But I WOULD LOVE in December, or anytime that has snow. I am not looking or asking for someone to get me the entire stay FREE, just some kind of discount. I dont mind paying around $150 a night if it a great cabin. I only need a 1 bedroom, but if its a 2 bedroom i dont mind either.

Right now as I look at the deals online, the rates vary from $100-175 depending on the cabin, but thats only for Fall. I am not sure how much snow will fall this year, but i can imagine around December would be a better time. Which is when the rates jump up to $250+ a night. Then I still have to take some money for Skiing and any other cool things there are to do up there. I am looking at about a $700 budget.

This would be my 1st time up there (that i can remember). AND YES this would be a get-a-way with my gf our anniversary together. I want it to be a surprise, so sphinx or any other members that know her, please hush-hush . Thanks
