Question about insurance and GT4 parts Options

Ive seen many posts where people crash the celi and other members state "great excuse for projectors, gt4 body parts and cf hoods, etc..." i have afull coverage with a 500 dollar deductible and was just wondering. if i ever crash my front end, how do i go about getting gt4 body pieces and projectors when all that can probably cost like $2000+ paint. im a little confused. what do you guys do to get those parts through insurance, wouldnt they figure our front ends dont cost nearly as much as agt4 front would? or do you just pay the 500 deductible and they give u a check for what stock parts would cost and you just pay the difference? im confused about this...NOT that im planning on crashing my front end just for that....:-)
