ok, so i'm no the hands on type anymore, but after 40,000 km i changed out my spark plugs on my '4'
hey fun striping of the top mounted intercooler when i took the plugs out, even with the s%$& fuel over here i was happy with the even 'toast' brown colour they had burnt with only problem i had was that when i pulled the leads of 2nd and 3rd plugs there was about an inch of oil showing on the lead ends!!!!! i moped it up with a rag and took the plugs out where i saw that the white bit was dis-coloured from being in oil a long time.......... 1st and 4th where clean!!! no sign of oil on the header!!!! does this mean my head gasget is gone or i have a bigger problem ??? new plugs are in, funs sweet and not smoking....... any able to shed some light on this for me...... Thanks for any info This post has been edited by popstar: May 9, 2006 - 11:46 PM -------------------- Life is for living, and you don't get a second chance Take care now !! |
