Right now im going through college for the second time for automotive. Last year i went for about 5 months for autobody, but my program was really really terrible and i didnt like it so i dropped out. Like..i spent 4 of thouse 5 months washing cars as "detailing" because they didnt have any of the equipment they needed to teach us with in the shop yet after they renovated. Any ways, im in school for automotive right now, im just starting a year long apprenticeship and then i go back to school for 3 months. Now, i love working on cars, ive been working on them since i was 13, and cars are my passion, but going through this program has made me relize alot of stuff. Ive started to relize the days of being a neighbourhood mechanic or working in a small shop is slowly going down the tubes. With alot of cars coming out in the next few years being hybrid, or full electric, your gonna have to be a licenced electrician rather than an auto tech. Also with the introduction of OBDIII in the next 4 years, small shops are gonna be screwed. No one will be able to service new cars, the government will convert older OBDI and OBDII cars over to OBDIII, so thouse cars will be non-serviceable aswell. So, these things are still not 100% for sure yet, but im thinking i might wanna head back to school for somethin else, but my problem is...what.

Through all of my schooling, i was never the best in class. I was always just scrapping by, hated homework, hated reading, etc. So my problem is, trying to find a job/career that i would like to do, that i wouldnt have to do tons of paperwork with, thats pretty easy and perferably not so "businessy". Out of my entire family, im the one with the little stubby neck, so dress shirts dont really fit me all that well..lol. Back on topic, so far, the only jobs ive had that werent directly me working on cars that i liked was being a sales person at a speedshop. It was good for a full time job for the spring and summer, but wouldnt be what i would need for a career. But i was one hell of a sales men. I was there for 4 months, and 3 out of the 4 months i was the top salesmen for all 13 locations. Most ppl would sell $9K worth of stuff, i was selling $14K minimum per month. So sales is something that im pretty good at, its just i donno what i could do for a career that would let me do sales, make a good living, not involve a crap load of paper work, wouldnt be retail, and would be fun to do. Any ways, im kinda out of ideas, so maybe you guys can help...

If you got any ideas of what i should do, lemme hear em. I'm not in a big rush to go into school again, i still have a year and a 1/4 left b4 im finished this program. So, yea...lets hear any ideas you guys have.

Bryan
