Power Antenna, I need help Options

When I replaced my factory stereo with my video screen/dvd player, I lost my power antenna. There wasn't a harness to connect to the existing factory wires so I had to hard wire everything. And with my factory cd player when I had it on CD, the antenna would be down. Then when the radio came on the antenna would go up. I have coomers old switch panel and I ran a power wire to the back of the car and removed the side panels that are next to the antenna. I stuck the wire into each one of the wire sockets next to the existing wire. There are like 7 i think. And there are also to additional, thicker wires and the bottom of the motor assembly for the antenna. I tried hooking the power wire to each of those wires and it just sparked and then the cd player shut off. Then I went to the 2nd wire and the air conditioner turned on. And honestly I don't know WTF is going on. So if anybody has any ideas on how to do this please help.
