Okay, so my check engine light's been going on and off lately, and recently i (actually it was Ngofcukingway) WE checked the code, and it's saying that the EGR valve is failing. But it dosen't stay on, every 15-20 miles it'll go off for about 2-3 miles. So i don't think it's been a total failure yet, however i should try to do something about it.
First off, This weekend i plan to pull the EGR itself and clean the crap out of it, and hope that works, Otherwise I could use some other opinions/advice. Also, I have no camera right now or i'd show you what i mean, but i'm missing (assumptionaly) a bung of sorts... Let me try to describe, then hit ya'll with a location. *5sfe - on the driver side, between the Valve cover, and the Intake Manifold @ the Throttle Body area; there is a hose that runs between. This hose has direct access to control the EGR valve (Or some system component that allows the engine to run properly) NOT the line that some have running to the air intake (or back into the throttle body) no, this line is maybe 3-4 inches long, and is connected to what looks like a sensor of sorts... (sorry i have no camera w/ internet access ![]() Does this make any sense? Or am i WAY fcuking off? Here is where that "Bung" should be located ![]() I cannot find a part number ANYWHERE for that darn thing... Does anyone know what it is? Any ideas, opinions, advice, would be greatly appreciated.
