Deep down I wish I could've swapped the celica, but this thing is pretty fun.

Story:
Picked the car up in September of 07, with "engine problem."

I tried to get the car running for a couple days but decided it wasn't worth the money or time to figure out what was wrong with it. So it sat for a while before I had some time to start ripping it apart.

During tear down I figured out why it had "engine problems"...

At least I made a crank puppy out of it

Over the next couple months I picked up a rebuilt 6 bolt motor and some other goodies. The car also just kinda sat there most of the winter because of no real time to work on it.

Finally got things all put back together about a month ago.

Ready for the first test drive

Before:

After:

She's no looker by any means on the outside but looks good enough for me.

Complete mod list:
Rebuilt 6 bolt w/balance shafts removed
272 DKS cams
DSMLink
AEM Fuel Rail
1600cc injectors
FP3065
FP exhaust Manifold
JM Fab "Race" Intake manifold
3" Megan down pipe
FP 2.5" o2 housing
tial 44mm wastegate
arp head studs
cometic head gasket
fp 4" intake
K&N filter
fp oil feed from head
fp oil drain
fp -4 inline filter
hallman pro boost controller
maf translator
msd wires
prothane motor mount inserts
sbr/kentics fmic
tial q bov
re-wired 255
tractor battery biggrin.gif
custom mount for said battery
Compeititon clutch stage 4 clutch
fidanza flywheel

Think thats all the major stuff.

Then it was off to get tuned on some e85.

Then calling in sick to go race it the day after getting it tuned.

11.7@126.

I think I really need a driver mod laugh.gif

Know its no swapped celica but I think its decently quick for what it is.

Plans for winter:
1. Get some slicks
2. Boost-a-pump (was running out of fuel with my single pump)
3. Dual valve springs
4. re-tune and hope for 500 on a dd dyno
5. make it look decent if I have any extra spare money
