1995 Toyota Celica ST (Coupe-2dr)
[Kelly Blue Book Report as of 03/21/2009] Mileage: 184,000 Engine: 4-Cyl. 1.8 Liter Transmission: 5 Speed Manual Drivetrain: FWD Selected Equipment Change Equipment Standard Air Conditioning Power Steering Dual Front Air Bags Optional Power Windows Cruise Control Premium Wheels Power Door Locks Single Compact Disc Tilt Wheel Moon Roof Excellent $3,790 Good $3,390 Fair $2,890 I would rate the car "Fair" according to Kelley Blue Book. Fair $2,890 Some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. Clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. Tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage. Here's the Scoop: I am the third owner of the vehicle. I have owned the car since about 2004, bought it at around 125k miles, and the mileage currently is approximately 183500. The timing belt was changed just before I bought it, around 120k miles, and I have since replaced the transmission (around 155k miles)--the transmission is only two years old. I need to sell the vehicle, a project car, because I just don't have the time to work on it. THE CAR DOES RUN--mechanically, for what I am selling the car for, you will find fewer better deals. The car's engine is a 7afe, the same engine Toyota uses in the Corollas--you are very likely to be able to get another 50k miles out of the car without any major mechanical repairs. I currently use this vehicle to drive to and from work on a daily basis. The car, mechanically sound, runs fine. I am purchasing a new vehicle, and I need to sell this vehicle in order to pay the tax (plus the girlfriend won't let me keep it ). This is a good deal for anyone on a tight budget needing wheels, though there are cosmetic things that will need to be done to fix vehicle. I sell the vehicle AS IS--I will give you full disclosure of things I know that will need repair IF you deem it pertinent--otherwise, the car drives fine. Things that need repair: -Rear defroster (was taken off with the tint years ago--not that big of a deal, nothing turning the heat on can't fix). -Seats are worn (aftermarket seats, could easily be replaced for cheap, otherwise, seat covers) -Gas cover latch (I have some of the parts, but you will likely need to find some more of them--this is a very cheap fix) -Front left speaker needs to be replaced (went out a few months ago, haven't had time to install a new pair of speakers) -Trunk lid needs to have spoiler holes plugged, or, reattach spoiler. -Door handles need to be painted (primer black right now--could be replaced if you dont want to paint them) -Passenger side door lock needs to be rekeyed (I had to replace the door when a truck dented the passenger side coming out of a parking lot--the autobody repair shop was stupid and I didn't discover until years later that they never took out the lock from the original door) -All electronics, to my knowledge, work (doors, windows, locks, moon roof) -Was in the process of doing a body kit--much of the repair issues are related to the autobody technician who messed things up. The car was painted within the last two and half years, but the body kit has not been painted or put on. If you want the rest of the body kit, you are more than welcome to take it, clean it up, paint it, and put it on. -Some rubber trim here and there will need replacing. -Rear brake pads will probably need to be replaced in the next few months, fronts should be alright for a while (replaced about two years ago) -Hood has a loose bolt or plate on right mounting bracket--probably will need to be replaced Some benefits to the car: -Great price for a running car, despite the things that need repair -3 of the tires are brand new, replaced only in December of 08 (the 4th still has plenty tread)--spent around $300 on tires alone. Les Schwab wheels and tires, under warranty. -aftermarket chrome wheels (Les Schwab--paid $1,000 three years ago) I am asking $1,800. I still need to get the car smogged in order to transfer title, but it passed with flying colors not a year and a half ago, so I am sure things will be fine. I want serious inquiries only. Looking to get rid of the vehicle as soon as possible. I live in North East Santa Rosa. I haven't had time to take pictures yet, but if you live local, I can show the car later in the week, otherwise, e-mail me and I will send pictures as soon as possible. If your a wrenchhead, or someone looking for a cheap good ride that's worth what you're paying for, this is it! Thank you for considering purchasing my vehicle! Also, I live in Santa Rosa, CA and will NOT deliver the vehicle. You must pick the vehicle up. I am only willing to meet as far north as Healdsburg, or as far south as Petaluma. Thank you for your consideration. -------------------- Armed? Armed with what?
