Some of you may remember me. Most of you probably dont. This was my Celi before it got totalled.
Unfortunately she got parked under an escalade, and I moved into the Dub comunity. Moved to New Hampshire and I had tons of left over money on each pay check (who knew living in California was so damn expensive ) So I started spending money on getting every thing I wanted. Some poke, some stretch, bought Corvette Saw Blades and stretched some smaller tires to give it the Euro look and feel. The JTI has ended in a sad story that shouldnt be gotten into. (its a bit touchy) so i decided to sell the saw blades tires and adapters. As soon as I posted them on VWVortex I recieve a call from a local that wanted my wheels in trade for a car. So I did. It wouldnt start, had a jump wire from the starter to the batery. Bought a $12 dollar ignition switch and it started right up. The Cabriolet is my new project. Done a little bit to it so far with lots of plans. refinishing these: to this: (The grey GTI is my girlfriends, she loves them both. lol) Got coilovers, a single round grill, and chrome door mouldings instead of the hideous black rubber (with dry rot) waiting for spacers to throw on the Panasports. and being an idiot. So the woman and I were talking and we decided to get rid of the 3rd vehicle (98 ford ranger) in favor of some JDM goodness. We narrowed it to 2 options. 1: Early 90's 240 fast back 2: 6th gen Celica Tossing around the ideas, and living in New England we figured front wheel drive would be best because it would end up being driven in the winter time and the Celica was the choice. (which made me completely happy to get back into something I loved) So heres the deal. Red, White, or black (havent decided color yet) 5 speed, and GT. Preferably 94-95 pre facelift (and easier to do my choice of motor swap ) Got lots of plans to mix my previous JDM styling influences with my love of Dub/European styling. I'll be back soon with more updates.
