Ok so I've been looking for a cheap way to deaden sound cause as we all know it the celi is a sports car and not meant to have too much weight but I cant stand road noise. I live AZ past couple days its been 110 and above. "Sorry not tryn to bore u" Anyways my roof gets so hot even with a/c on full blast it takes like 20mins to cool down maybe 5 degrees. My a/c works fine. I decided to do some research on some sound deadener cause I have a sub as well. I found out that stuff also helps to stop heat which made since to me if the panel is thicker it will take a while to heat up. I had read that this air duct insulation wrap does the same deal. So I researched it its called "Frost king" thats the brand anyway. Both Lowes and Home depot sell it. I went to Lowes cause it cheaper. You can get 12" and 15ft of it for like 15. I took off my headliner yesterday day and broke my visor in the process t was sun baked oh well. I scraped off the old padding in there. Afterwards I got and old clean rag and soap and water and scrubbed off any sticky residue and dirt did it 3 times to be safe. Then I dried it with another old clean rag. Then started applying it since it has a sticky side u dont need glue. It stuck on there real well i had enough to do it twice. All I can say is that it feels cooler inside and my bass sounds cleaner. You can try it yourself its not too tough. I only did the roof cause thats all the money I had but i thiunk Im going to do my whole car. The material is pretty light weight.
