So as some of you guys know I removed my turbo for smog and practicality reasons a while ago. Now I am getting bored with the car again so I put back in my custom made K&N cold air intake and it was running and feeling great... until yesterday. I got a check engine light yesterday, and upon doing a little bit of searching on the interwebs I found that CAIs are know to cause lean codes. The thing is, I actually have a SAFC-II still installed from when I had my turbo, just running at 0% adjustment for fuel levels.
My question is, can I adjust the SAFC for low and high throttle levels so that the car doesn't run lean and the CEL doesn't come on? And if so, what % increases should i do for different RPMs? I'm on stock injectors btw. Right now I am thinking like 5-10% increase across the board for lo-points and 10-15$% across for hi-points??? THANK YOUS! |
