Hello it seems like most people just replace there 5 speed when it goes bad can someone tell me how hard it is to rebuild one or simply replace what is wrong? My 5 speed in my 94 gt goes into 3rd gear hard when accelerating medium to hard and at a stop sometimes I can't get it to go into gear. I have already done the synchromesh trick and it worked for a few years, now it is time to fix.

What i need done............

-I believe I need a 3rd gear synchro.

-I believe I need a first gear synchro not sure though as it will go into gear no problem if the car is rolling at all but once stopped it is a crapshoot.

-I would also like to add a limited slip differential for snow driving. Where is a good place to get one? Do they make em new or is toyota the only place to get one?

-i have rebuilt automatic chrysler 727 transmissions before but not a manual trans so I don't know if I should try and fix this one or buy a used one?

-If I buy a used one how will I know if it is better then what I have? Is there a good place to get them with some sort of guarantee?

Thanks guys I know it's alot of questions but searching hasn't been very helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
