I've got a 95 Celica GT Convertible that has become my daily driver this late summer. I am in the process of replacing bits and pieces of the car but I have no experience with door-less windows such as the ones in the rear. What happens is on any given day whenever I lower the window it works perfectly fine, no strange noises or squeaks, however once my ride is over and I need to raise the rear windows up my right side won't come up. A better explanation would be that it doesn't budge, I hear no tell tale humming from the motor when the switch is hit, and when I try to take the weight off the glass of the assembly to aid the motor still no result. I have checked the wiring and voltage and can swear soundly that that is not the source of my problem. On some rare days the window will work just fine but out of fear I leave it up 24/7.

I would love to know if any others have experienced similar problems and whether or not my best plan of action would be to buy a new motor. I have done some research on replacing the window motor and I know it is going to be a pain if I have to do it myself, but I would much rather save on the expenses at a garage.

P.s: The opposite side window has no such problems.
