i recently shift to a standalone ecu and have my cams adjusted to provide maximum power and torque. i was again happy witht the dyno result. however, i noticed that my water and oil temperature is higher than usual so i'm planning to install an oil cooler to ease up the heat. i'm not sure, though, if an oil cooler without a thermostat is sufficient. the one with thermostat is so expensive that's why i'm opting for the other one.

my question is, would it be difficult to reach the normal operating temp if there is no thermostat in the oil cooler?

please enlighten me. smile.gif

thanks.
