Alright folks, it has become apparent we need this guide done with some extensive details. It certainly isn't a difficult circuit, but not many people are technically inclined in this sense, or have spent a large portion of their life time around schematics =P - This is my first attempt at putting this together, and I will not be able to test the circuit til I have the swap complete, but I'll do all the bench tests I can to make sure the circuit functions as intended.
Short Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage that is caused to your vehicle or its wiring by following this guide =) Follow at your own risk. Step 1: Get the schematics for the ST205 Engine Control Pages 315-316 on Doc id: rm399e Or since I'm a nice guy occasionally, you can acquire them from my ftp (If you are unaware on how to use a FTP, google can help) I've supplied both manuals for the 3sgte & ST205 - They can be acquired elsewhere on the web, but I've found the download speed to be to slow for my liking. Site: ftp.id40t.com login:6gc@id40t.com PW: celica Here is a picture of the schematics, and the highlighted areas of interest: (Taped together pages, and joint lines met) ![]() Please reference the manual as schematics are very specific, and one messed wire can screw the pooch. This is simply to show where we are interested, and potentially educate yourself on the logic on such drawings. Any questions on these, please ask. Even if its a "why do some lines cross and have a dot, but others don't" That is important. So first things first...we need relays! Here are the part numbers, they can be acquired all over the web, but I personally am going to stick with OEM relays for the simplicity of this install. Intercooler Pump Relay Part Number: 90987-02006 Confirm it is 4 prong Fuel Pump Relay Part Number: 90987-04002 Confirm its 5 prong Keep in mind, you can bypass the FP relay and FP resistor pack. From what I understand, it simply changes from low to high voltage between idle and acceleration. Basically to give the equipment a rest during down time. Up to you if you want to wire this FP relay & resistor..some may argue its pointless, but I like to keep the wiring as close to OEM as possible.. You may want to acquire a box for the relays. I am opting out, and will be creating my own mounting area...but for the sake of others here is a link to acquire a box for them, that is covered and very clean. http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=772 More to come as I progress through the circuit. I put this under Engine/Tran/Maint area due to its direct effect on those elements. If mods feel the need to move to electrical please do so. Some changes in the plan, may not be using the OEm relays, and just may go with a 12v din mountable relay...working on it. Will be much easier. Thanks!
