Hello fellow 6G members!
My name is Simen (preferably Simon for you that are over seas and other countries) and I live in the beautiful Norway. Currently 21 years old and been owning my 6G Celica ST202 for almost two years now, and I love my car so much. My 6G have been through quite a lot these last two years and I want to share my experience to you with it (and without). 2011 was the year when I got my first job and started making my own money and been wanting a car for quite some time now but didn't know what car to buy yet. Looking at the Supra, Eclipse, MR2, MX-5, RX-7, RX-8 and finally the Celica. Saw the sale on this Celica at the Norwegian trading website called "Finn.no" and I was instantly in love and the price was just right. Called this guy that was currently owning it and we arranged for me to see it the day after. It was a 3 hour drive from me to his place, but it didn't matter. I was incredibly exited to see this car and when I showed up, I couldn't do anything but smile from ear to ear. That is when I knew my heart belonged to Toyota. Two days later I got my finances sorted out and I knew I wasn't going to get bankrupted with that purchase. I drove back to him with one of my friends, handed over the cash and the car was mine. Man... I literally smiled, giggled and laugh'd the WHOLE trip back! It was such an experience! 6 weeks later... My girlfriend was having her birthday and me and two other of my friends where invited to her party. We decided to let the Celica stay back home and rather drive another car (BMW 318i) that had more room and comfort (lol). My two friends got into and argument and a fight and one of them headbutted the other and broke his nose (but that is a whole another story). The next day I woke up that my phone was ringing and I got some very, very bad news I couldn't believe. He said that my car was badly damaged, but didn't say anything else. My friends and I packed our stuff and drove back home and this is what we saw I couldn't believe what I just saw. I've had the car for 6 weeks and this is my punishment? Oh man. We decided that we couldn't just let is stand there so I actually drove it (almost without any vision) to the auto garage for them to fix it up (as I have absolutely no clue on how to do it my self). It was a 30 minute drive but I did good Couple of days later the repair guys said it would cost me about 7-8000 NOK (1000 USD or so) for them to fix it. After the purchase of the car I didn't have any money at all and didn't know what to do. I didn't have a thousand bucks in the far back in my pocket just out of the blue. Me and the repair guys worked out a deal so I could pay a smaller sum month by month and so I did. The week after I got my car back and I was so happy that I could drive it again. Had some troubles back and forth after that but not as big as this one This turned out to be quite some introduction and I have some more good stories to tell, but I'd rather save it for later I think. There are some pictures of how the car looks as of today, so if you would see please look at my profile Regards Simen/Simon -------------------- |
