When I went to remove the fuel pump, I removed the cover, the plug and then I began to work on the fuel lines.

Removing the lil clip on the rubber hose was easy enough, however I am having problems unscrewing the metal line.

The large nut that I assume I am supposed to rotate off is pretty stuck on there and while turning it, it is starting to twist the metal line that drops into the fuel pump assembly.

Do you guys know of any tips to keep that piece from breaking? Or is it something that can be replaced once the fuel pump assembly is completely removed from the tank?

Thanks,

X

**Background info**
Car would stop intermittently.
Stopped in traffic multiple times.
Only while hot/sitting in traffic for 1+ hours.
Been checking all grounds and relays, all fine.
No fuel being pushed into the engine.
No fuel in lines after trying to start the car.
No fuel in fuel rail.
Car turned over slightly after blasting the TB with starter spray.
I am now trying to figure out how to remove the damn thing without destroying the lines.
