Having trouble with removing oil pan, removing oil pan Options

I recently bought a 97 Celica GT 2.2L 5 Speed. I bought it for cheap so I knew there was going to be problems with it. I have a oil leak on the left back side of my engine.
I replaced the valve gasket today and it seemed to help but it is still leaking. I want to change the oil pan gasket but some of the bolts on the left side of the oil pan are behind
a metal wall of some sort. I was wondering how I would be able to remove this in order to get bolts for the oil pan?

Please help I really love my Celica my first car was a Celica and know my first manual can is a Celica really want to get her running strong!!!!!
