So on my 94 Celica has od1. For those who don't know 94-95 have od1 ports, it's not until 96 that ob2 became a standard in all vehicles that are sold in the US. (Probably everywhere else too, not sure).
So here is my dilemma I have a snap-off solus scan tool that reads od2 which I use for work. I also have an adapter that supposedly connects Toyota ob1 to ob2. I say this cause the adapter doesn't plug last time I tried it, maybe I am not putting in enough force. So regardless of the scanner, I want to know if anybody has done it successfully. If so how were you able to accomplish it? Did it need an external ground or additional power through the cigarette outlet? Any info will be appreciated. |
