hey, i'm the owner of a 1994 celica gt with the premium stereo system. today i installed a new headunit, bypassing the stock amp and running the speakers off the amp in the headunit. getting the little blue connecter out from underneath the amp and removing the 2 clips wasn't the most enjoyable task, but hey - no pain, no gain. after wiring the harnesses together, i realized that the largest speakers on the doors (predominately for bass - at the bottom of the doors, i don't know the size off hand, sorry =/) aren't working. the mids, tweeters, and speakers in the back are working fine. i tried reconnecting all of the speaker wires again, just to make sure nothing was loose - but it appears that there isn't even wire in the harness for these speakers (nothing seemed to work).
![]() (also, the yellow memory wire from the vehicle's harness held no power under any circumstance, but this problem was solved by running a 12v wire with an inline fuse off of the battery.) any help would be greatly appreciated. This post has been edited by Zack: Feb 28, 2004 - 1:26 AM |
