Have you had a chance to get the resonator in yet?

Yeah I hate reasons.
I'm trying to Photoshop them onto my car right now.

So when I bought the snow tires for my car, I knew they were going to fit in the wheel well just fine.....but I forgot to factor in the turn radius of the wheel. Stupid me.
Well I'm not selling the tires because I'm already in enough of a headache as it is since I bought 17 inch wheels to put my old tires on, but then found out the tire that was on the cracked wheel had a small hole in the sidewall; go figure. So hopefully I'll be trading the 17 inch wheels this week for a set of stock 16 inch WRX wheels, which my snow tires will go on.
So in all, I'm going to mod my fenders so that the tires won't rub when I turn. Should be a fun little project biggrin.gif

Well, the tires are on the car. I was glad when I found out that they barely rub on the stock mud flap or splash guards. Only problem is, they are too tall and the bottom hat of the struts sit on the edge of the tires. The back tires aren't as bad as the front because I have 10mm back there, but only 5mm in the front. Hopefully, I'll be getting 20mm spacer that are like the v2 ichiba where the spacer bolts on and the wheel bolts onto the spacer.

Just my luck.

Oh yeah, and I learned never to take street tires off your wheels unless they are completely worn out cause the seam will get f*cked up since the tires are so hard. Just an absolute great day today.

Got my 20mm spacers in the mail today.....put them on.....and the tires still rubbed on the bottom hats of the struts. For now I semi ghetto rigged it. Being that the 20mm spacers were the bolt on type, I put the spacers, that I already had, on first, then put the 20mm on and bolted them down. Then I put the wheels on and made sure everything was snug.

Everything works fine now, the front wheels just rub on the splash guards a little bit, and the harness bar is back in so that no one sits in the back. And the front passenger side rubs when I hit small bumps. Though my struts are fine when I do the bounce test, I really do think that they are going.

TIME FOR COILOVERS!

Picked up a pair of fenders from the junkyard the other day. At first I thought I might not have to use them, but after driving my car more and more, the tires are making holes in the splash guards when I turn. So to fix that, I'm cutting that section out and moving it back a bit so that there won't be any rubbing there. I also noticed that when I go over little bumps, my front wheels rub on the inside of the fender and part of the fender liner. I decided to take those two fenders, which will forever be my winter set now, and make custom fender flares in the front. It was only $55 for both of them, so why not?

So far I've started on the crappiest fender and this is what I have so far. (everything is still in the beginning stages)
I'll keep updating as I go along.

Finished one of the fenders but not the other. Gave up on that whole thing.

Anyway, I'll be buying the hobbits rear coilovers from czwalga soon.
Other than that, I might end up fixing the brake lines by patching in a hard line cause it's still slowly leaking, and I might get cheap rotors since the current ones are starting to warp more and more.
Nothing is really going to be happening to the car for a while since I'm joining the Marines and going to boot camp this summer.

Coilovers should be in next week.
Also, my driver side front caliper started to get hung up, anyone know what would cause this?
I didn't know if it was going bad or not so I swapped to the mr2 calipers I had.
If it does the same thing then it's probably the sliders, right?

Forgot to mention...

You'll need a small hex head to remove the red nob to put the top hats on. Also the nut is a thread lock type, so you may need an impact gun to tighten it.

I had my buddies garage, which had a lift and air, to do the entire install smile.gif
I figured out the hex nut on the red caps, that was easy enough to figure out haha

There's no way I'll ever be able to go back to regular springs and struts...and I can't wait to get the fronts next winter!
