My name is Julian. I've been on 6gc for about a year and I think its finally time to start a build thread. biggrin.gif

Basically, my brother bought this car used way back when he was in high school. When he owned the car he had dream's of converting it to a GT-Four.
Since then he bought a new car and lost interest in the Celica and was going to sell it, but one day he asked if I wanted it and I said sure.

When I first got the keys the car had been sitting in my driveway for about 3 years. It needed new breaks and wouldn't start due to an electrical problem with the fuel pump. But I finally got her working!

After that the car stayed at home for another month till I got my license. In that time I changed the oil and all the fluids, replaced the front driver side fender, the front axles, and the clutch hydraulics. Then I finally got my license and she was on the road.

Through the weeks I started to grow a larger attachment to the car, but it still felt like I was driving my brothers car so I decided to start fixing more things.
As the weeks went by I had started replacing warn interior bits and pieces as I found them. I replaced the torn shift boot, head unit, a few interior trim pieces, and ordered a kit from Spree to make my dash and climate control blue and the interior all LED.

I spent the next couple of months doing small things here and there but nothing really major until a a few weeks ago I bought some new 7th gen GT-S wheels.

Along with the wheels came some HIDs I bought from a local tuning shop and it all went in that weekend.

I plan to swap a 3sgte into the car but I don't see that happening anytime soon, but I'm currently working on ordering all my suspension parts and getting a rust spot in the rear quarter panel fixed up so then I can maybe have the car re painted in the coming months.

Was your brother on the forums? And what's the story on the red MR2 at the car wash?

Just swapped my filter out for an AEM dryflow cause the filter that came on the car just had to go. Also ordered a header yesterday and waiting for it to arrive so I can put it on smile.gif

the dry-flows are a great intake. good choice. much easier maintenance as compared to the filters needing oil

I know I haven't updated this in a while but I've finally decided after weeks of thinking that it may be easier, cheaper, and possibly better to swap a BEAMS 3S-GE red top in instead of getting a half cut. What do you guys think? I'm already pretty set on the idea really but I would love to hear what others have to say as far as their experiences with either swap. smile.gif

I actually bought it for the 7afe. I'm not so sure if it would fit a 3s but I wouldn't think so. I have alot or research to do lol

i know that some of the rare jdm headers for the 3SGE are fab'd in that style.
could possibly still fit on the 7A! Have you installed it yet?

I actually bought it on here but I do agree that the eBay sellers need to to clean up their act a bit. Seen plenty of cases where someone didn't get what they thought they would
