Well that is not good to hear.

From the searches I did on the site, users were raving about south bend clutches. Maybe I missed the after reviews...

Hopefully that wasn't 235 down the sh!tter

On a side note:

Pulling into my normal stop in the morning, I saw a surprise.

Soulend bought a six-puck and had a bad experience.

Lies did not buy a six puck.

blew through 3 "rally" clutch kits within a year. one went before I could do anything with the car like racing, as well as when my Dad was using it when I was in Japan for two months. that one lasted 6-ish months, the next lasted maybe 2 months normal daily driving. and the 3rd finished off the year and I just swapped to a different clutch kit all together.

Company has bad manners and are unwilling to help, ignore calls and emails. blamed me for bad installation when I proved to them on each occasion that I had a Certified mechanic IN A SHOP put each in. the mechanic on each occasion said that it wasn't the cars fault but bad clutches.

Smaay can say all he wants about "I've put them in over a 100 cars" but that doesn't stop the fact that company is horrible.

My friend in Japan got me a great deal on some Projectors, Received the package after the mailman woke me up with the doorbell today. laugh.gif
I open up the package and only 1 broken tab, most likely due to the cold weather. (Was expecting more broken tabs...)

Hopefully i'll be installing these today as well.

Put my harness bar back in today....and then proceeded to put in the harness that has been sitting in my garage for 2 years....
Lets just say I don't like regular seat belts anymore lol

Also put it in since I'm getting new tires on Friday, Potenza RE-760 Sports.
Coilovers are going on after I get the wheels done so I can lower her and get an alignment.
I'll be getting my JSpeed 3 point strut bar this week too.

I think the harness will come in handy with the corning and whatnot.

Ordered more parts =/

Tie-rod Ends & tie rods, front and rear end-links, the knuckles between the hub and control arm, and 2 front strut mounts w/bearings.

Tired of popping, snapping, and creaking.

Sanded the GT-four hoods imperfections and getting ready to fill a little. Paint next weekend when its warmer.

Now I just need a hood latch, or ghetto weld this one...

Today I replaced my axles.

Needless to say, my passenger side axle was long overdue.

Today I nearly wrecked my car. Today, we had a lot of wet snowfall and the roads were really slippery, but I have set of winter tires on and I'm used to driving in these conditions so no biggie. Well all was good until I decided to overtake a semi on the freeway. The semi was shooting a curtain of heavy slush while cruising at around 90 km/hr, so when the car started taking the hit from the heavy slush, it was enough to push the front end to momentarily lose lateral stability and cause me to spin while going 100 km/hr. The moment the car started spinning, I thought to myself "$hit. at this speed, the car's gonna be totalled when this is over frown.gif" without any regard of my own well-being. When I started to spin and the car was perpendicular to the lane, I could see the front bumper just inches away from missing the concrete barricade divider, but after spinning another 180 degrees, the rear end hit the divider and I came to a complete stop. Luckily, I was way ahead of the last car behind me so I quickly started her up and drove off. I immediately headed to the nearest carwash to take a closer look. It turns out there wasn't even a scratch on the dirt from the rear bumper! Instead the exhaust tip took all the damage... and it wasn't the muffler tip, but the extended add-on that was welded on the tip! Hell I didn't even thought it extended past the rear bumper! The tip was just bent a little to the right with some scratches on it and I can probably just hammer it straight again LOL! Also, the muffler wasn't making any raspy noises to indicate any sort of exhaust leak which is a plus. I still can't believe how little damage the car took while not taking any body damage. Who would've thought that of all the sides on the car, the one tiny bit, the exhaust tip, would save the car! I'm really glad that I was really lucky today, but more importantly, no innocent souls were involved in this (self-inflicted?) accident.

Glad you weren't injured AND that the car emerged fairly unscathed Gerald; definitely, a hair raising situation.

Today, I will probably go to Pull-A-Part to look at the '95 Celica they now have on the lot; will take pictures and report if anything is worth pulling. :]
