i was out of town, and could not find the clutch alignment tool, and so many things, hopefully i can get it in tomorrow, as im working today.

Thanks b22ri22an, it took me a while, to bring the car here, at first it was not easy, but now with a steady job, it helps..

my problem is the steady job... its that the steady job brings tons of maintenance that eats project money like a kid in a candy store.... the local mechanic calls me job security. as we speak he is fixing my power steering leak and next replacing lower control arms, power steering fluid killed my bushings and my belts

b22ri22an, If you don't mind my asking, how much is that power sterring fix running you and what are they doing exactly? I've got a leak too and the complete right underside of my car looks terrible. I changed the oil this weekend, and between the time i got my car on the lift and raised it to drain the oil, fluid had ran down onto my tire and started collecting on the lift. that happened in less than 10 minutes. It doesn't help that my oil pan gasket is leaking too, and I'd put money saying the rear main seal is too but no way to really tell until I got the power steering and oil pan gasket fixed.

And njccmd that's a nice shiny flywheel! I've got to change mine clutch as well..

apparently there is a known issue with the high pressure hose leaking from the pump outlet after time... mechanic replaced the hose and cleaned my undercarriage to remove all the power steering fluid that was everywhere. while he had it on the lift he showed me the havoc it reaped on anything rubber... i need new right side lca bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints and sway bar links. will replace both sides put some new struts on and get it aligned at the same time total cost of repair after all is repaired from a power steering leak i ignored for 2 months just under $1300... but it will have just about a completely rebuilt front suspension at that point.

Which flywheel bolts did you go with? I can't wait to hear how you like the new clutch and flywheel setup. smile.gif

You can reuse the bolts once as long as you used enough loctite. More than once and you push your luck, but I'd say you'll be fine. Besides, it's not like you track your car. That's what the FR-S is for. wink.gif

i used plenty of loctite, and torqued them well, nah, its for weekend cruises, i cant weight to start.

i compared the old fw with new one, and boy there is a difference in weight.

the new one is a 2nd gen 3s and the friction area is slighly larger than the clutch, and that i did not like, but oh well.. start up tomorrow.

And If BONZAI is reading this post, yes I have LSD, and apparently came from a 98 celica...

Ok these two days I've been workin on the car, and it's been long hours. I have made a mess through the years and hacked a lot of wires. I already started working. On the 8 speaker system, and all info for that I'm going to put it there.

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=91285

I continued doing that today plus. I rewired the relay for the jdm mirrors, I had hacked so much it was ridiculous.

ij,

Best 17 bux ever spent.....

Think the reason my battery dies is cuz I wired my con light wrong. But I fixed that today...

Hack job vs good harness

I finally have the light for the ciggy lighter... I cut that 2 years ago...

Learned a couple of harness tricks, like instead of splicing wires, just solder at ther terminal and have a healthy wire...

Shrink wrapped it but it was not necessary.....

Need to find me some interior plastics that are not scratched, lol I am depressed of how bad mine are...... Stay tuned.....
