Have shorter legs. Eh, you could always make some kind of adapter that'd move the seat back some. That or just pull a Shaq and drive from the back seat.

have far do you actually sit back in the seat?? i'm 6 feet and 0.50 inches tall. so you are at most, 3 inches taller than me. i weigh 165 pounds as well
i sit pretty close to the steering wheel. even at the farest setting of the seat scooted all the way back its too far away from me. I have a 99 celica GT. So the celica should be able to accomodate your legs which are 3.5 inches taller than mine. the rule of thumb is your wrists should be able to sit directly at 12 o clock. that way you can maneuever you car as quickly as possible in case something fly's in front of you. i work as a valet at a dealership and i always see people sitting back way farrther than they should be and they are almost always shorter than me. of course that is unless your large. My legs are long and knees are close to the wheel. Another two inches would help that and not affect reach. Also, with the sunroof and the headliner thus further down, I have no headroom at all. that would be helped as well. In my Accord, I don't move the seat all the way back, but in the Celica I have to and its not too comfy. This post has been edited by doctavic: Apr 22, 2013 - 2:03 PM |

The times I'm happy to be 5' 10" tall. Even as short as I am my knees touch the wheel, and I have a 30" inseam. Though in order to be seated properly your knees will touch the wheel with the wheel all the way down. My car has the sunroof and I probably have about 2" or 3" between my head and the roof, though I keep my seat set to all the way down.
Eh, I remember someone on here modifying their seat rails because they were taller. For some reason jcbass7 is coming to mind at the moment. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

I'm 6' 5' + and I've never even taken my seat to the back ? I know everyone has there own driving style but its recommended you drive with your legs bent at the knees in case of a crash, and i couldn't imagine this happening at full extension.

yeah, Im 6'3 and I feel like I need my seat to move 2 extra inches back and 1 or 2 more down, for when taking my break at work, I like stretching my legs, also for when using the celica as a**cough** hotel**cough** also in case of an acident I would have more head room to not bang my head on the sunroof or mess up my hairdo lol

I cut my brackets in the rear and re-welded them two inches lower. This gave me more headroom since I'm 6'4" and have a sunroof. Everyone is different, sitting height and leg length etc. We run into this problem with the training helo we fly, I barely made the sitting height requirement, where other guys 6'4" have no issues with that and bigger issues with leg length, etc.

I cannot press the clutch pedal all the way down, i come short 1-2 inches from fully pressing the clutch pedal if i have the seat on the furthest position back when its locked in place.
your knees should be slightly bent. mine are bent and 3-4 inches from hitting the bottom of the dash. best of luck with you and your decision!! that'd be cool if our steering wheels were telescopic (if thats the name) This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Apr 25, 2013 - 1:34 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

With the seat all the way back I barely can get my toes on the pedals. I probably have the seat halfway in the track, if not a little closer to towards the front. I could have it back some more, but this way with the clutch in I still have some bend in my knee. If it were automatic I'd have it further back.

I'm tall where it counts. Being short used to bother me, and does occasionally when I can't reach things. I've learned to see the good in it, I can fit into all the small cars that I like.
