Recently bought suspension techniques sway bar set my front set came with poly red bushings and my rear came with black bushings both away bars are graphite grey I installed the front and it rubs on the driver side. Frame rail the beginning of it right where the bushing mounts basically ideas? Could this be the old non revised version?

Sounds like that may be the issue, however, I thought it was the rear sway bar that had the issue on the non-revised, not the front.

unfortunately it sounds as though you received the old non-revised version as the revised version comes in green. also, what you describe is correct as far as the rubbing being a common issue with the "grey" bars.

Easy fix I used some extra all weather pipe insulation I had in the garage don't remember the exact size but it fit like a glove and no more noise oh I also painted my ST sway bars red with hi temp engine paint looked awesome even 5 years later wished I took some pics sadly sold my celi a while back.

*Example*

*The insulation I used was smaller then the example picture above btw

It was only a small area the front ST sway bar was rubbing against if u jack up the car and look under should be easy to tell where its rubbing against I think it was less then 3inch under the driver side honestly took me less then 30min to fix back in 2004 lol

Also if you plan on painting the bars make sure u sand, prep and primer correctly for better quality and longer life.

Njccmd can you take a picture of the front bar installed on you're car from the driver side area near the bushing mount that's where mine rubs is it kissing the frame? Mine is there is no clearance on my driver side yet I have a tiny bit on the passenger. And suspension techniques told me the same exact bs...
